Artemisinin is known for its rapid results when treating malaria. It’s an immune booster that offers a wide range of benefits, not just when faced with the malaria virus. Artemisinin is also known as sweet wormwood which has been known to the people of China for at least 2,000 years.
Although primarily used to treat malaria, it’s also commonly used to treat fevers, get rid of worms and parasites, support immune function, and treat infections. More specifically, it’s used within AIDS patients to prevent an often fatal lung infection. In more recent years, it’s been studied for its anti-cancer benefits.

- Artemisinin contains compounds that help calm and relax both nerves and muscles. Promotes relaxation and sleep.
- Artemisinin has been shown to reduce inflammation, swelling, and pain. It’s also been used to treat GI issues and a variety of autoimmune diseases.
- Anti-bacterial properties. Often used to treat wounds, helping them heal. When suffering from skin lesions, this herb can prevent infection and reduce pain.
Recommended dose is 100-300mg per day. To avoid tolerance build up, cycle it off every once in a while.
